My 82K mortgage has come to the end of a fixed term and I want to remortgage. I have recently taken a 18.5K secured loan. I earn 22K. Will the loan effect my remortgage?
Will a secured loan effect how much I can borrow when remortgaging?
Change of Parties on Mortgage?
My partner and I separated 2 years ago (we weren,t married) and I had to re-mortgage to give him £10k to leave. The house was and still is in both our names but I have decided it would be wise to get his name off the title deeds. I am financially able to pay the mortgage on my own and have been doing so. Could someone please tell approximately how much it would cost me including solictors fees etc do do this and also would my ex partner need his own solicitor even though he is willing to co-operate fully in removing his name from the mortgage. Thanks to anyone who can help.
Someone just helped me with a question who was a solictor, could you please advise if the £250 +VAT included the fee Building Society would charge and also as I am in reciept of Tax Credits would I be entitled to any form of legal aid. Many Thanks

Which company deals with indemnity title insurance for remortgaging?
I want to remortgage my property and have been given an offer by a lender, however I can’t complete without indemnity title insurance.
Norwich Union no longer does title insurance due to the credit crunch, is there anyone else who can help me?
Interest charge on a Mortgage which is not started.?
Our re-mortgage completion was scheduled for monday.
New lender transferred money on friday (stating that they do this to make sure re-mortgage occurs on the scheduled day – fair enough)
Since sunday is non-working day they do not do the transfer.
Then they charged interest for the whole weekend (i.e. for the money I did not start using).
Can this be challenged?
Thanks.
cissie s – Thank you.
I think they transfered into conveyancer’s account then he transferred this money on the completion day to the old lender. On paper they are right start charging interest friday because they transferred the money. However, everything is on computers nowadays and they can schedule a transfer. Lets say that requires huge IT investment (because of software change etc.). But I do not understand why I should be paying because they do not have better system.
lenderjayne – thank you
you are right it is not a big amount compared to what I will be paying for the rest of the term but it is the annoyance of the situation rather than amount. In a bigger picture, they will be doing this to every customer who are competing on monday.
